By popular demand, an application has been made to help users of Android phones interface to the RX8Club.com forums. User's of the forum have been requesting an alternative to the web interface of the forum and this app is an effort to help remedy that request.
Remember that this application is free, and will stay free! Any donation to the support and development is very much appreciated, but not at all required or expected.
~~== Errors??
I try my best to handle any and all application issues. If you are experiencing any issues, please report them in the following thread so that I can get some information on how to reproduce the error: http://goo.gl/vv84nt. A mechanism has also been added to the Preferences that can make it easier to send a set of logs to me.
~~== Logging Note
For those of you that are skeptical about logging, dont fear! The logs do not contain any sensitive data, and you can review them at any time. Simply replace the email address when you export a log and you can get a copy for yourself. Alternatively, you can access the logs directly at /sdcard/rx8ClubCache/rx8club.log
~~== Access Note
Guests can log in without membership, and are restricted to browse and searching
Members have access to posting, pming, favorites list, recent posts, and more!
~~== Permissions Note:
This app requires two permissions. The first permission has always been in place which is the "Internet" permission. The second was recently added to allow caching to happen on the sdcard if there is an sdcard available. This app does not access any user data, or change anything on your device.
~~== Attachments Note:
I have tried working on bringing the ability to upload attachments directly from the phone to the RX8Club forums, however, at this time it just doesn't seem feasible. I have coded the functionality, and tested it, and albeit the actual uploading of the file works, there are some backend processes that I cannot emulate. The code is in the repository if you would like to investigate further.
~~== Source Code
Want to check out the source code? Find it on GitHub! The link can be found on the 'About' page of the application.
